Antonio Brown demands Steelers trade privately and publicly

Antonio Brown is ready to move on from the Steelers.

The superstar wide receiver said goodbye to the franchise on Twitter on Tuesday, and ESPN soon reported he has requested a trade.

“Thank you SteelerNation for a big 9 years…time to move on and forward……….✌🏽 #NewDemands,” Brown wrote.

Now the attention turns to see what the Steelers do next.

Brown, who is signed through 2021, skipped a walkthrough prior to Week 17 after he got into an incident with quarterback Ben Roethlisberger. Steelers president Art Rooney II told the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette he doesn’t expect Brown being with the team when they open training camp in mid-July, though there are no plans to release him.

Hall of Fame wide receiver Jerry Rice, who has kept in contact with Brown, has said Brown wants to join the 49ers. Brown then posted a Photoshopped image of himself in a 49ers uniform.

This wasn’t the only news involving the seven-time Pro Bowl receiver, though. On Tuesday, he was found guilty of reckless driving after failing to show up in court, ESPN reported. He was allegedly driving a black Porsche more than 100 miles per hour through Ross Township, Pa. He has 30 days to appeal the verdict.

Maybe he’ll have a new team by then.
