Ronda Rousey wanted us to know making love and not war is in her immediate future.
The former WWE Raw women’s champion announced on her Instagram account that she and husband Travis Browne are on an “#impregnationvacation” along with a photo of the couple kissing.
The Wrestling Observer in January reported that Rousey, 32, would be stepping away from WWE for a period of time after WrestleMania 35 to try to start a family. It appears that will be the case. The publication also reported Rousey broke her hand during her main event match with Becky Lynch and Charlotte Flair and would likely have had to miss some time anyway.
Rousey has worked full-time for WWE since January of 2018. She is signed with WWE until April 10, 2021 and, if she chooses too, could potentially return in time to partake in WrestleMania 36 next April in Tampa. Her last appearance for WWE was for WrestleMania 35 at MetLife Stadium on April 7 when she was controversially pinned by Becky Lynch in the first women’s match to headline the company’s biggest show.
Rousey didn’t take kindly to speculation of her desire to start a family when the news broken in January.
“I honestly don’t know why [anyone] feels like [they’re] an authority to speak on the plans for my uterus,” the former UFC women’s bantamweight champion told ESPN at the time. “If I responded every single time the world speculated what I was doing with my womb I would not have a free moment in the day.
“I really don’t feel like I should have to respond to that kind of thing. It’s my vagina, my life, keep the speculations to yourself. Leave me and my reproductive organs alone.”
Rousey left little doubt about her intentions this time around.
