Mick Jagger ‘feeling much better’ after heart surgery, he says

Mick Jagger is thanking fans for their support after undergoing heart surgery.

“Thank you everyone for all your messages of support, I’m feeling much better now and on the mend – and also a huge thank you to all the hospital staff for doing a superb job,” he tweeted on Friday afternoon.

Earlier in the day, Jagger’s rep told Page Six in a statement, “Mick Jagger has successfully undergone treatment. He is doing very well and is expected to make a full recovery.”

The 75-year-old rocker had a stent placed in his heart during an operation that took place in New York City after being diagnosed with an undisclosed illness.

Due to Jagger’s condition, the Rolling Stones had to postpone their tour.

“Mick has been advised by doctors that he cannot go on tour at this time, as he needs medical treatment,” the band said in a statement at the time.
