Staten Island celebrates borough’s famed quintuplets

It’s already the big 1-0 for Staten Island’s most famous five!

The borough’s only surviving quintuplets were feted Monday at the hospital where they were born a little over a decade ago.

“It’s crazy in our house,” said youngest quint Ella Ferrante at a press conference at Staten Island University Hospital, where they were born severely premature, at just 24 weeks, in December 2008.

Their mom, Jamie, quipped, “The hardest part is finding shoes.”

The Ferrante Five are now thriving, even playing basketball for St Christopher’s School in Grant City.

But it takes a lot of work. Parents Jamie and Kevin transport their brood in a 15-passenger van, while breakfast on weekends requires a carton and half of eggs.

“We get along pretty good, but we fight a lot,” admitted tallest quint Amanda.
