Wrestling legend Ric Flair was hospitalized Thursday after having a “very serious” medical emergency, according to a report.
TMZ Sports reports that the 70-year-old wrestling icon was in Atlanta when he had an unspecified medical event before being rushed to an emergency room.
A rep for Flair did not immediately return a request for comment, TMZ Sports reports.
Flair, a 16-time champ, survived a health scare last year, when he was placed in a medically induced coma and on life support for 10 days due to kidney failure and bowel issues he later said stemmed from his lifelong problems with alcohol.
The “Nature Boy” later vowed to never drink again after the surgery and had a pacemaker implanted in his chest. Flair then got married for the fifth time in September, getting hitched to his longtime girlfriend, Wendy Barlow, while wearing an all-white suit.
Plenty of wrestling royalty attended the affair, including The Undertaker and former world champion Dolph Ziggler. Former NBA star Dennis Rodman also attended the wedding, which was held at the Pearl Hotel in Florida and was peppered by Flair’s trademark “Wooo!” shouts from guests.
