‘Tan Mom’ hospitalized for pneumonia, in medically induced coma

Patricia “Tan Mom” Krentcil has been hospitalized for pneumonia and remains in a medically induced coma.

Krentcil — who first made headlines in 2012 for getting arrested for child endangerment after allegedly taking her then-5-year-old daughter into a tanning bed — is in the ICU in stable condition, according to The Blast. She is expected to be revived on Tuesday.

She was admitted to the hospital last week after pneumonia caused her to need fluid removed from her lungs; however, her addiction to smoking caused her lungs to become very weak, so doctors were unable to drain all of the fluid. The “Beauty Battle” winner ended up going into cardiac arrest.

Krentcil recently relocated to Florida from New Jersey to focus on her music career, which saw a resurgence with her single “Free to Be Me.”

Her husband, Richard, thanked fans for the messages of support his family has received since news of her hospitalization broke. “Hi thanks for all support for patricia she is doing better and will send prayers for her she very strong,” he wrote.

Patricia’s songwriting partner, Adam Barta, also said she’s a “strong lady” who he fully expects to recover.
