Charlize Theron reveals she wore prosthetic EYELIDS to transform into Megan Kelly for Bombshell

Charlize Theron is nearly unrecognizable as she plays former Fox News anchor Megyn Kelly in the new movie Bombshell.

But the transformation was no easy task according to the Academy Award-winning starlet.

The South African-born talent, 44, revealed how it took an entire set of prosthetics, including specially designed eyelid pieces, to make her look like the conservative pundit during a chat with The Hollywood Reporter.

Charlize credited special effects makeup artist Kazu Hiro with helping her metamorphosis, even though he was originally wary of the look.

‘It’s really hard to get [Kazu] to do new stuff, but I did a lot of begging and he came on and designed eight [prosthetic] pieces for me,’ she told THR.

The ‘intricate’ pieces even included two eyelid prosthetics, which ‘basically covered [her] entire eyelids’ but still allowed her to perform.

‘It was very intricate work. Intricate work where you still need to be able to do what you need to do, like blink,’ she said.

In June 2016, former Fox & Friends co-host Carlson was quietly let go after 11 years with the network upon the expiration of her contract.

Just a few weeks later, on July 6, Carlson sued Ailes, claiming she was cut loose after she refused his sexual advances and complained about harassment in the workplace.

Ailes denied the allegations and accused Carlson of filing the lawsuit in retaliation for her contract not being renewed.

Parent company 21st Century Fox then launched an internal review.

Three days later, on July 9, allegations from six other women are published. The women accused Ailes of sexual misconduct.

On July 19, it was reported that Megyn Kelly, who was arguably Fox News’ biggest star, told investigators that Ailes made unwanted sexual advances toward her when she was first started out at the network.

Ailes resigned on July 21. He died less than a year later in May 2017.
