Lauren Brant shows off her partner Barry Hall’s impressive physical transformation

Barry Hall has shown off his impressive physical transformation ahead of his highly anticipated boxing match with retired NRL star, Paul Gallen, on Friday night. 

Taking to Instagram Stories on Monday, his partner Hi-5 star Lauren Brant shared before and after photos and a video of the 42-year-old retired AFL player. 

In the images, Barry looked incredibly lean and ripped, flaunting his six-pack abs.

‘So who thinks Baz should run a 6 week training/eating course? Cause um, check out his body transformation after 6 weeks of training for this fight…’ Lauren wrote in the caption.

With a limited amount of time to get into shape for his big fight, Lauren said she had been helping Barry out with his meal prep.  

‘I’ve been preparing all of Barry’s nutrition… He’s on a pretty strict diet. He eats a lot, but he just eats really healthy food to fuel his body,’ she explained in the video.

‘No added sauces and all that stuff that you can find at restaurants and things. Definitely no MSG. Just a lot [of food].’

After clarifying the former St Kilda Football Club player was ‘totally happy’ to do his own meal prep, Lauren said he had enough to worry about in the lead up to the match.  

‘Barry is totally happy to cook and sort his own food out, but I have taken that role on because I can. I’m able to do that,’ she explained.

‘I feel like his job is hard enough to become a professional fighter in just eight weeks, after retiring and just sitting on the couch for the last few years. 

‘He’s the one getting in the ring, so this is the least that I could do.’

It was announced at the beginning of October that Barry would be going up against recently retired Cronulla-Sutherland Sharks player Paul, 38, for a one-off boxing match.

The highly anticipated fight is scheduled to take place in Melbourne on Friday night, and will screen on TV on Main Event. 

And both men have been training hard in the run-up, regularly giving each other a gentle ribbing on social media.  

‘Is anyone else hearing all this whingeing from @paulgallen13?’ Barry wrote on Instagram on Monday, while Paul quipped earlier this month: ‘I’ll be in your face non stop champ.’
